It's been a long time since I've been on here, I doubt many people read this... but whatever... this is more for self medication anyways right?

I've been pretty busy up here... a little bit lonely... but generally having alot of fun. I really don't do much other than work. my roomate and I occasionally go out, and I've been fishing and kayaking... but thats about it.

What I have done is travel... I've went to Idaho to ferry a 1956 Cessna 172 back to alaska, and I've been to hawaii to see Amy, her family and my cousins... and I ferried a 1981 Cessna 172 up from Portland back to Alaska... so between working and traveling... I've been pretty occupied.

If I'm not working or out playing with Canyon... I sit around on my ass at home and wish I had friends to go do stuff with...I just havn't met anyone my own fricken age up here.

My trip to hawaii was a little bit bittersweet, it wasn't what I expected.. but it was still alot of fun and I'm definately glad I went. It was really good to see Amy (the reason I went) and she is doing well. Her being in Iraq has changed our relationship around completely, which is hard for me to accept, and I am definately having trouble getting over it...so hard to let go of the past, especially when it's filled with such happy memories and experiences... I guess the key for me is to just trust that if she and I are supposed to be together, it will work out in the end, and I just need to chill out get on with my life and not worry about it... which is much harder to put into practice than to talk about... But I'm workin on it.

Enough of that...for now, I'm just enjoying my job, looking for the next opportunity... and trying to find some people to hang out with.
